About Us
Memory Bank Media is owned and operated out of Philadelphia by Sarah Christman and Kara Crombie, who have been active in the photography, film, and video industries for almost a decade.
Kara Crombie specializes in digital video manipulation, enhancement,
and color correction specifically for High Definition video formats.
She also designs, authors, and masters custom DVDs and has
worked as a digital artist and designer for both broadcast and fine
art clients including Concrete Pictures and the Silicon Gallery. She
served as a consultant for Moore College of Art and Design in the
development of their Photography and Digital Arts Program, where she
is now an adjunct professor.
She is currently a resident digital media artist at Vox Populi Gallery
and has exhibited her video artwork in galleries nationally.
Sarah Christman is an Apple certified editor and post-production instructor
who has taught at the Edit Center in New York City and at Temple University,
where she received her MFA in Film & Media Arts. Sarah began her
career in public television at Thirteen/WNET on the weekly PBS series, "Nature".
She has edited for both independent film and television, including
the High Definition media arts channel MOOV HD.
Sarah’s independent film and video projects have garnered international
acclaim. She has won numerous awards including the Eileen Maitland
Award “For most promising female filmmaker”at the 2007
Ann Arbor Film Festival and has her work screened internationally
in well over 100 film festivals, including The Rotterdam Intl Film
Festival, AFI Fest, the San Francisco Film Festival, and the Seattle
Intl Film Festival.
